Paint Correction is the process of restoring your paint's finish by removing defects & imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, & fading while enhancing the paint's depth, gloss, shine, and color.  You may have heard of this by other names such as Buffing And Polishing or Cutting And Polishing.

Many professionals will also refer to the process such as a Dual Stage Paint Correction/Two Step Paint Correction.  This commonly refers to how many phases there are in the Paint Correction Process.  Typically, a brand-new vehicle will only require a polishing (which can be called a Single Stage Paint Correction or One Step Paint Correction) while a vehicle older than 6-12 Months may require buffing & polishing (which is a Dual Stage Paint Correction or Two Step Paint Correction) to achieve perfection.
